Pelvic Floor Muscle Class
This PFM exercise class will be led by Professor Kari Bø herself, following the method she developed in Norway in 1986, which has been used in all related RCTs. It was the first group-based PFM training worldwide and part of the first physiotherapist-led RCT and PhD on the topic. The program has proven highly effective for Stress Urinary Incontinence and the same principles of training have also been successfully applied individually for POP.
Participants at IUGA 2025 will take part in a supervised group session. During breaks, complementary exercises for overall women’s health will be performed with music. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended, and yoga mats will be available.
